After taking a year off to get Communitas launched in NY last year, I made my 13th trip to India. It has been hard to be away for 2 years. This is a place that has stretched me and challenged my faith time and again. I have experienced God's provision and presence in ways I never could have dreamed. And in many respects, I think the last decade prepared me to plant a church in New York. I was anxious to get back, and have great hopes for this to be another milestone for me in my relationship with Jesus. I feel his tender heart particularly for the 230 plus orphans that now reside at Grace Children's Home.

It has been 48 hours since I have been in a bed. I slept a bit on the flights, but I never sleep well. The picture below is our team in Mumbai- at the 24 hour mark of our marathon.

By the time we arrived in Dowlaiswaram, 2 flights later, we were all ready to sleep. But we stayed up- for hours. Why?  These next photos tell the whole story.

 

So much joy, even sleep deprived.

For the next week, I will be posting blogs from India. Some of my team members may also write some blogs. We anticipate seeing jesus in some fresh ways.
