India Partnership

Impact India 360, Dowlaiswaram, India

In December of 2000, a few people stood on the vacant field in Dowlaiswaram, India, pictured below, and prayed, asking God to help us secure this property and turn it into a place of love and hope for the poor of the community.

It was a prayer that God was delighted to answer. The picture below is that same field, taken in February of 2003. Now, nearly 10 years after that first prayer, what is know as Christ's Evangelical Mission (CEM) has indeed become a place of hope for many of the poor and sick of this region. Our work now includes an orphanage with over 230 children, an elementary school, a sewing school for young women and widows, a seminary training church, planters, a church, and a hospital.

After years of prayer and seeing God's faithfulness, andother piece of property just 100 yards from the main campus was purchased, and in February 2011, a hospital offering free medical care for the poor was opened. The pictures below show the transformation of a field where neighborhood boys played cricket to a place of hope and love for the sick and poor.

Child Sponsorship

Over 200 children now reside at Grace Children's home. Some of them are truly orphans- both parents have died. For many, one or both parents are alive, but they are no longer able or willing to care for them. At GCH they have found a second family where they are loved, their needs are met, and they are learning about God's love for them.
