Sunday Gatherings

Communitas as a church is active throughout the week in community groups, serving projects and Bible studies in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. On Sundays, we gather simply to celebrate the presence and work of Jesus in our lives and in our community. Our Sunday "Gathering" (we prefer not to call it a service- serving is what we do all week) is located at Augustus Saint-Gaudens School (P.S. 40) in Gramercy Park. Note: The entrance to the school is on 19th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues on the north side of the street. Look for the red doors. Click here for map
We begin at 10:30, but come early for coffee and bagels.
New Series- Extreme Church
Jesus passed on the mission of growing his Kingdom to ordinary human beings who have been touched and changed by his love and grace. Those group of broken yet forgiven people are called the "church". Church is not a place you go on Sundays, it is a revolution that stretches and challenges those who answer the call of Jesus... "Follow me".
If you think church is boring, irrelevant, antiquated, join us this fall for a different perspective, because we think it has all the elements of an extreme sport- challenging, dangerous, adrenaline producing, exilharating, and worth giving your life to.
